Annual awards recognize the top senior athletes in high school baseball nationwide
ST. LOUIS, MO – March 12, 2013 – Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH), announced today its annual Rawlings Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams to recognize the top 400 high school baseball athletes in the U.S. The annual rankings highlight Rawlings’ commitment to high school athletics and next-level players nationwide. The Rawlings Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams are part of its collaboration with Perfect Game USA, the world’s largest scouting report service.
“With more than 240,000 high school baseball players in the nation, these players represent the very best in their class,” said Mike Thompson, senior vice president of marketing for St. Louis-based Rawlings. “Rawlings and Perfect Game USA are synonymous with the game of baseball, and these preseason awards allow us to reward these elite athletes for their hard work and contribution to the game.”
The Rawlings Preseason All-Region selections comprises from 400 players from eight regions around the country. Each of the regions forms a 50-man roster, complete with catchers, pitchers, infielders and outfielders.
Rawlings Preseason All-American honorees are the top
150 players from the All-Region pool.
Each recipient is named on one of three, 50-man roster national teams.
