Velo Alloy College/High School Bat

Additional Information

Never in the history of baseball have more pitchers touched 90+ mph. Hitters have less time to react at the dish, and there's no time for error. If the game is this fast, then shouldn't your bat be? The Rawlings Velo features extreme balance, explosive swing speed and enhanced pop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rawlings Velo -5 Youh Alloy Bat Pros: perfect blend of balance and power Durable a lot of pop nice sound large sweetspot Cons: scratch marks after you hit a lot Little pricy You can buy the Rawlings Velo -5 bat at Scheels for $200.00. This bat was a popular bat in the season of 2016 and it still is. Why this bat was so popular was because of the major sweetspot it had and the perfect blend of balance and power. If you buy this bat in the off season it should be on sale. I got the bat for $165.00. In September of 2016, I was hitting at the UBA batting cages when I noticed that my bat was starting to get dents in it. I told my mom about the dents and she said we should look into getting a new one. We went to Scheels and we saw that the Rawlings Velo -5 bat was on sale. My pitching coach, Max Fearnow had recommended this bat for me. He said I would need to start using a drop 5 bat because in high school I will have to use a -3 bat. My mom ended up buying the bat for $165.00. When I got that bat, I decided that I should go to the batting cages the next day to see how it works. So I went back to the UBA batting cages and tried the bat out. The first couple balls I was fouling off so I had to adjust to the weight. I choked up on the bat and I started smacking line drives. I realized this bat has a major sweet spot that is easy to hit. Also, this bat was balanced evenly, it wasn’t end-loaded. That made me have a faster swing. I would recommend this bat to all youth baseball players. Rawlings makes this bat in many lengths and weights. They make any thing from a -12 velo to a -3 velo. I would also recommend getting a Rawlings velo ash wood bat if you are going into highschool. If I had to give this bat a 5 star rating, I would give it a 5 out of 5 stars. Overall, I think this bat is a great bat.
