Youth Adirondack Grade Blem Bat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't buy one. Buy 2 or 3! I purchased a 28" for my son because it was so cheap. Wanted a heavier bat to practice with and it just arrived (6 days after purchase) about an hour ago. Gotta say I'm upset. Furious actually. I should have purchased 2 or 3 because now...they're sold out. I just assumed for 15 bucks it wouldn't be as nice as it is (I did read the description, just didn't trust it). But he'll only be hitting Sklz & foam golf balls so there's zero chance it'll break. But still, for the clearance price, it's a steal man.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT value!!! For the price, you CANNOT beat it!!! It is a youth wood bat so expectations need to fit...I wouldn't use this bat with live pitching or even BP pitching. GREAT for tee work and soft/front toss for a young player wanting to use a heavier bat to help with bat speed. Used this bat with heavy balls too and it holds up well. Will definitely continue grabbing these when they are available!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super durable bats My high school kids and nephew decided to have a bat breaking competition so we bought, what we thought, cheap bats that would easily break. Well, after an hour in the cage and turning up the speed, nothing. Not even a split. So we decided to drill a hole in the middle of the bats and still they lasted about another 20-30 minutes of abuse against the pitching machine. They started splitting around the hole but still took about another 20 swings with a split bat before they finally cracked. Who would have thought that a $15 blemished youth ash bat would last so long. I am very impressed and I would definitely recommend these bats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal! Ordered 3 bats - can’t beat the price, especially with free shipping. Bats arrived fast! 2 regular bats and 1 velo. Great bats as backups or practice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price I have bought many of these bats over the years. They are the best teaching tool there is. Yes like all wood bats they can break you hit the ball in the wrong area. The nice thing is that your not spending $300 for a youth bat and then when your youngster grows you have to buy another metal bat. As your child grows you have to buy a new bat anyway and being it is would the overall price of things is much cheaper. A youngster learns quickly to hit the ball in the sweet spot of the bat when using wood. Also, in most used leagues they are using a reduced injury factor baseball which gives a little bit and these bats don’t break. The problem is most dads and coaches don’t have a bucket full of RIF balls and therefore they are using harder baseballs that could make the bat break easier. These are great for the price!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after 20 swings My 12-year-old hit about a dozen lightly tossed pitches in the backyard and it broke across the handle after hitting one off the end of the bat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak Bat.... Bought a 29 inch for my tiny 7 year old so he can build some strength swinging a heavier bat during some drills. Plus he loves wooden bats since that is what is used in the majors. Purchased a new grip, wrapped it, the next day he took a couple of cuts during a soft toss drill and hit an inside pitch and the bat snapped. Pretty disappointed as we got about an hour use, and I just wasted $15 on a new bat wrap that was put on the day before. I would call customer service, but reading the other reviews, looks like there is no warranty. The kicker is my 7 year old is on the small side (55lbs and 49 inches tall), short and skinny, not sure how he could break a wooden bat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I purchased a blemished bat due to the items description stating "MOST IMPORTANTLY the integrity of the blemished baseball has NOT been compromised". My son used the bat for the first time for a batting practice session. In less than an hour the bat was snapped. Customer service can't do anything with due to no warranty. So, if the above statement is true (the blemished bat integrity has not been compromised), what does that say about the quality of bats that Rawlings offers?
